Honors and Awards

The Homestead Band Program has a rich tradition of excellence. The Homestead Spartan Alliance Band has performed at the Indiana State School Music Association State Marching Band Finals 37 consecutive times, is an 8-time state runner up, and is a 6-time Indiana Class A marching band State Champion. The Spartan Alliance Band has been a Bands of America Grand National Finalist 6-times, has performed in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, and is the recipient of the prestigious John Philip Sousa Foundation Sudler Shield Award. The Homestead Band program celebrates success off the field with a 3-time Indiana High School Color Guard Association Open Class Champion Winter Guard, and Indiana State School Music Association State Finals appearances by the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Winter Percussion. The Homestead Jazz 1 Ensemble is performing at the 79th Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference. The Homestead Jazz Band and Homestead Symphony Orchestra have also performed at the Indiana Music Educators Association State Conference.
